Nine nominations for Gateley Legal at the Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2026

Our Midlands Corporate team has been shortlisted nine times across six categories at the Midlands Dealmakers Awards 2026.

Gateley Legal has been shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year, alongside multiple deal nominations including:

• International Deal of the Year – Shapers' Group's acquisition of Koito Europe.
• International Deal of the Year – Sale of Sunrise Group to Agrova International.
• Deal of the Year (up to £10m) – Financing to support four acquisitions by Pace Group.
• Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) – Turnaround and sale of Whale Tankers.
• Deal of the Year (£10m-£50m) – MBO of Autosmart.
• Deal of the Year (£50m+) – £183.6m take-private of Inspired.
• Deal of the Year (£50m+) – Sale of Aquavista.

In addition, Andrew Cowan, partner and head of our Birmingham corporate team, has been shortlisted for Corporate Lawyer of the Year, recognising his leadership of the team and his role in advising on a number of high-profile transactions over the past year.

The Midlands Dealmakers Awards, hosted by Insider, bring together the region's corporate community to celebrate the deals, teams and individuals shaping the Midlands market. The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Thursday 17 September 2026.
