We have bolstered our residential development team in Reading with four new appointments. The new hires will add weight to the team by supporting housebuilder and developer clients with acquisition matters, as we continue to expand our client base across the South East.

Delphine Mehouas joins as a partner. She previously spent 25 years at BDB Pitmans specialising in residential development acquisitions for local and national housebuilders, as well as residential developers. Delphine brings a wide breadth of experience to the team having also acted for commercial developers for hotel and landmark developments, as well as the motor trade.

Sarah Webb has joined the team as a legal director. Prior to this, Sarah spent the last decade at Boys Turner. In total, she has 20 years of experience in supporting housebuilders, residential developers and land traders with matters including acquisition disposals and the promotion of development sites across the South East.

Tracy Best has been appointed as an associate following eight years at Knights. As well as boosting the acquisitions team and working alongside senior team members, Tracy will also support the development of junior talent.

Az Perwaz joins the team as a newly-qualified solicitor. He previously spent the last two years training at Taylor Rose MW, where he gained experience in residential property matters and in particular, high-value transactions.

Andy Wilson, partner and head of Gateley Legal’s residential development land acquisition team in Reading, comments: “Due to significantly widening our client base, and increasing our number of housebuilder panel appointments, the residential development team has brought in new talent to support acquisition work. As well as appointing experienced hires to bolster the team, we also continue to commit to supporting new talent to create a home-grown team which truly understands the unique needs of our housebuilder and developer clients in this region.”
