UK Sports Law Competition
Friday 28 February 2020
We’re proud to be hosting the UK Sports Law Competition (UKSLC) on Friday 28 February 2020 at the iconic Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City Football Club
At the UKSLC, students will compete in teams of two and will be tested on their ability to think commercially when faced with a fictitious topical legal problem within the sports industry. The panels of judges will be made up of professionals from across the spectrum of the sports industry from lawyers, CEO’s, commercial managers and directors representing all sorts of sporting companies/organisations.
There will be attractive prizes for the students including work experience in our Gateley Legal business.
It is also a great networking opportunity for students and will look great on their CVs, particularly when applying for training contracts.
Universities/Institutions can enter a team (made up of two students) into the competition for £130 (+VAT) per team.
This includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day. You may enter a maximum of two teams per University/Institution. Subject to availability, we may be able to extend this to 3 or 4 teams at a later date.
Please note that entries must be submitted by Friday 14 February.
You may also buy entry tickets for Supporters for £23 (+VAT). A Supporter must be from the University/Institution. You may buy a ticket for a maximum of one Supporter per team entry. The fee covers lunch for the Supporter and also tea and coffee throughout the day. The Supporter has the opportunity to observe the negotiations for their team in accordance with the Competition Rules.
