Colleagues from our Leeds office recently volunteered at Zarach’s warehouse to pack bed bundles. Zarach is the Leeds office charity for the year, and they help to defeat bed poverty for those in need.
Each bed bundle consisted of a duvet, pillow, duvet and pillow covers, bed sheet, pyjamas, toiletries, and a Christmas present/ selection box/ book for each child. The bundles also included a wooden single bed or bunk bed and a mattress.
The age of children receiving the bed bundles ranged from 2-16 year plus, and some households were receiving up to six bed bundles, our team estimated that 200 bed bundles were packaged up after their volunteering efforts.
