Our Birmingham office helped reduce waste by donating old banners to Litter Watch, preventing them from being sent to landfill and extending their useful life.

Litter Watch is an award-winning community led charity, supported by Sandwell Council and Serco. It was established in early 1997 to help residents living in Tipton tackle their environmental concerns and provide information and support to report litter problems.

Through this partnership, the banners were upcycled and redistributed to local community groups, including Powered by CAN, who transformed them into materials for creative art projects. What began as a simple waste-reduction activity became a collaborative effort that supported both environmental action and community creativity.

This initiative highlights how reusing materials can contribute to sustainability while creating wider benefit. By working with local partners, it connects environmental responsibility with community use, delivering positive, wide reaching environmental solutions.
