This year our Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Nottingham offices welcomed university students from across the UK for a four‑day work experience programme, offering early insight into life within the legal profession.
Delivered in partnership with AskTrainees, a platform created by our people who are passionate about supporting the next generation, the programme was shaped through close collaboration with our HR and Early Careers teams. Following a competitive application process, four students were selected to take part.
Throughout the week, students gained exposure to a wide range of practice areas, from Planning, RDU and Banking in Nottingham to CDR, IPCT and Construction in Manchester, helping build a broader understanding of the profession and the variety of pathways available.
The programme delivered lasting impact beyond the week itself. Participants reported overwhelmingly positive experiences, with one securing a training contract and others progressing to our vacation scheme. This is clear evidence of how the initiative is opening doors into the legal profession and strengthening future talent pathways.
