Our Birmingham Corporate team is celebrating success at the West Midlands Rainmaker Awards 2026, having secured six nominations across six categories.
Nominations include National Legal Team, Changemaker of the Year for Associate Zhuo Li and a number of deals, including:
- Out of Region Deal of the Year - advising on the acquisition of Frankham National Limited by Leo Bidco Limited, including an equity investment by LDC XV LP, LDC Parallel XV LP and management.
- Small Deal of the Year (Up to £10m) - Pace Group’s series of acquisitions of Exel Elevators, The Lift Company, DJ Lift Services and Lift Smart, backed by debt and equity funding.
- Medium Deal of the Year (£10m+) - the sale of Whale Tankers, a manufacturer of vacuum tankers and jetting equipment, to Kaiser AG.
- Large Deal of the Year (£50m+) - Inflexion and 65 Equity Partners’ investment in Kee Safety.
Taking place on 2 July 2026, the West Midlands Rainmaker Awards, hosted by The Business Desk, will bring together the region’s leading dealmakers to celebrate the achievements of the corporate finance community over the past year. The event will be held at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.
