Gateley Legal named one of the ‘Best Student Employers’ in the UK
Gateley Legal has been named as one of ‘The Best 100 Student Employers’ in the UK according to the latest results from RateMyPlacement.co.uk. A 100 strong results table revealed the companies across the country who offer top-tier work experience for students in a number of industries.
Gateley Legal received a respectable 73rd placing overall, alongside some of the country’s largest businesses. Impressively, Gateley Legal also made the Top 10 for law industry specific companies.
“The past year has seen 65 vacation scheme students placed throughout Gateley offices across the UK, all learning in a professional environment, and so it is great to be recognised as one of the ‘Best 100 Student Employers’,” says Steffi Ballmann, emerging talent manager, for Gateley.
“We’ve had students placed in every UK office who collectively have been helping across all four of our platforms, Corporate, People, Business Services, and Property. For them to take the time to provide such positive feedback that has led to our inclusion as one of the UK’s ‘Best Student Employers’ is fantastic.”
The feedback saw students who were placed in varying industries such as retail, engineering and law among others, asked to assess five key aspects of their placements: skills, responsibilities, support and guidance, culture, and impressions.
With the Institute for Student Employers reporting an average of 91 applicants per graduate level vacancy*, students can face tough competition for their first job out of university.
However, across all of the ‘Best Student Employers’, on RateMyPlacement.co.uk, it is reported that almost half (49%*) of the placement students and interns are offered graduate jobs creating another important path into employment for students.
