We have advised the management team of Ranger Fire and Security (“Ranger”), a leading fire and security services platform operating across the UK and Ireland, on the terms of its equity investment following a majority investment by European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion.

The investment is being made by Inflexion Enterprise Fund VI, Inflexion’s lower mid-market private equity fund.

Ranger provides a comprehensive, one-stop solution to businesses, charities and public sector organisations. The business brings together high-performing local fire and security providers on a national platform, combining their strong regional reputations for customer service with the scale, systems and reach of a larger group.

The equity investment from Inflexion will support Ranger’s continued buy-and-build strategy, enabling further acquisitions of high-quality local businesses while scaling operations to deliver a best-in-class service. The transaction also positions Ranger to advance its ambition of building a leading national platform, with potential expansion into continental Europe over time.

As part of the transaction, both management and existing investor Hyperion Equity Partners will make a significant reinvestment alongside Inflexion to support the company’s long-term growth strategy. To date, Ranger has acquired 25 businesses across the UK and Ireland, employs over 500 employees and generates revenues of over £75m.

Mark Bridges, CEO of Ranger Fire and Security, said: “The investment by Inflexion is a strong endorsement of our strategy and the momentum we have built. With their support and expertise, we can accelerate our plans, scale faster and continue building a leading one-stop shop for fire and security services.”

My thanks to Ryan and the Gateley Legal team who have been exemplary throughout this transaction, and we were delighted to have had their support.
Mark Bridges, CEO, Ranger Fire and Security
