Sheffield Hallam University: Education case study

The ‘Heart of the Campus’ at Sheffield Hallam University provides a central focus for the whole campus.

The building links together five buildings each at different levels. A large reception desk welcomes visitors; a student centre with an advice centre is opposite the reception desk; a new restaurant with refurbished kitchen flows into a large central concourse with seating, computers and a sandwich/ snacks dining room; pedestrian ramps link to the rest of the campus. The development includes a new entrance and lounge to a hall of residence, staff locker rooms, toilets and a staff room. Offices and seminar rooms are also included.
