Expertise

Abhishek is a chartered building surveyor (MRICS) with over eight years’ experience delivering complex building surveying, technical assurance and project management services across the education, healthcare, elder care, defence, residential and commercial sectors. His practice spans clerk of works, defect diagnosis and remediation, contract administration, fund monitoring, party wall advisory, and statutory compliance.

He is recognised for his ability to lead and support multidisciplinary teams, manage technical and regulatory risk, and provide clear, commercially-aware advice to clients navigating challenging construction, compliance and legacy‑defect environments. His experience includes acting as NEC3/NEC4 Supervisor, Contract Administrator, Technical Advisor, and Fund Monitor, with a strong track record of safeguarding client interests on projects affected by contractor insolvency, latent defects, fire safety non‑compliance, and complex stakeholder interfaces.

Abhishek has worked extensively with public and private sector clients – including the Department for Education, NHS, Care UK, Royal London Asset Management, Surrey County Council, Southampton City Council, Mansfield Council, and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation – providing rigorous technical oversight and ensuring projects achieve compliance, quality and long‑term performance. His background combines hands‑on site expertise with strong commercial and contractual understanding, enabling him to bridge the gap between technical detail and strategic project outcomes.

How do you help clients?

I help clients by bringing clarity, technical rigour and calm problem‑solving to situations where quality, compliance or delivery risk is high. I enjoy getting to the root cause of defects, understanding how buildings really perform, and giving clients the confidence that issues are being identified early, managed properly and resolved in a way that protects long‑term asset performance.

Much of my work involves stepping into challenging environments – projects affected by latent defects, contractor insolvency, fire safety concerns, or complex regulatory requirements – and restoring control. I take pride in being thorough on site, clear in my reporting, and proactive in safeguarding clients from unnecessary cost, programme delay or statutory exposure.

What I enjoy most is helping clients make informed decisions. Whether I’m administering a contract, supervising intrusive investigations, monitoring a funder’s risk position, or advising on party wall matters, my focus is always on reducing uncertainty, strengthening compliance and ensuring the project moves forward with confidence.
