Stuart is a chartered surveyor and registered valuer acting for renewables operators, housebuilders, developers, promoters and landowners.
He has extensive knowledge of easement and wayleave matters, advising landowners in relation to existing and proposed utilities impacting their land and development sites.
Stuart is a Member of the Compulsory Purchase Association and is experienced in compulsory purchase and compensation, utilising market knowledge to advise private clients and acquiring authorities. He has experience in the delivery of rail, electricity, gas and water infrastructure projects.
Stuart is experienced in the acquisition of renewables sites (negotiation options and agreements for lease), including BESS and gas peaking plants in addition to more niche projects from 5MW to several hundred MW. He advises on rights required to connect projects to the grid.
Stuart is active in the acquisition of commercial and residential development sites, vehicle charging stations, local centres and mixed-use schemes for both operators and developers. He advises acquiring authorities and claimants on compulsory purchase matters.
