By renewing our Champion Partnership with Regeneration Brainery for a third year, we continued to support its mission to diversify the property and regeneration industry by widening access to opportunity and strengthening social mobility.
Over the past 12 months, we supported young people in Manchester, London, Leeds and Birmingham, helping extend Regeneration Brainery’s national reach and ensuring that legal and professional services play a visible role in shaping how young people understand the built environment. By engaging with students from diverse backgrounds, the partnership supports a more inclusive talent pipeline, strengthening representation across both the legal profession and the wider property and regeneration sector.
Our involvement focused on practical, engaging experiences that brought careers to life. Through workshops, career insight panels and team-building exercises, we helped students understand career pathways at every stage of development, while highlighting the role legal expertise plays throughout the lifecycle of regeneration projects. In 2025, we reached over 100 Brainees, hosting four bootcamps and delivering nine inspirational career talks.
Learning was designed to be interactive and memorable. The much-loved Balloon Chair Challenge brought teamwork, problem-solving and a healthy dose of chaos into the sessions, reinforcing the value of hands-on learning. One London Brainee said: “I enjoyed this one the most as I loved the balloon chair challenge as it brought people closer. I learnt more about teamwork skills.”
Our commitment also extends into leadership and governance. As a member of the Regeneration Brainery advisory board, Hayley Sullivan, partner in our Manchester-based construction team, continues to help shape and strengthen the programme, supporting efforts to inspire young people with the tools, confidence and opportunities they need to overcome barriers and pursue careers in the built environment.
Our partnership with Regeneration Brainery demonstrates how working alongside educators and communities can help open doors, broaden ambition and support future talent well beyond the classroom.
