We have kicked off our partnership with Nottingham independent cinema Broadway by hosting a screening of Home Alone for colleagues ahead of Christmas.

The partnership will see Gateley support Broadway’s efforts to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for film lovers, supporting initiatives such as pay-what-you-can family screenings, baby and parent screenings, provisions for those on the autism spectrum and an extensive community outreach programme.

To launch the partnership, Gateley colleagues, with their friends and families, attended a private screening of Christmas classic Home Alone, as well as having a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself.

Helen Burgess, partner at Gateley Legal, said: “Broadway is renowned for being one of Nottingham’s foremost cultural icons and we are really pleased to give them our support. Their mission to make cinema as accessible as possible perfectly aligns with our ambition to be a positive force in the communities that we serve and we are excited for the year ahead.

“Shortly after the birth of my first daughter, I went to one of the baby and parent screenings. It was a great way to see a movie with a baby in tow, whilst also meeting other parents who were doing the same.”

We're incredibly grateful to our partners at Gateley for their support this year, helping us continue to build a lifelong love of film in Nottingham. At a challenging time for charities like ours, it's wonderful to work with organisations that believe in the power of cinema and the arts to bring positive change to our community.
