We renewed our long-standing partnership with Leeds Playhouse for a sixth year, continuing to support one of Yorkshire’s most significant independent cultural institutions and a vital part of the region’s creative landscape.
Since opening its doors in 1970, the award-winning theatre has been at the heart of Leeds’ cultural life. The renewed partnership reinforces our commitment to the Yorkshire creative scene while supporting the Playhouse’s extensive outreach programme, which reaches thousands of people across Leeds and West Yorkshire each year.
As part of the renewal, we continued to support initiatives that make the arts more accessible within the community. These include creative learning projects, work with young people, older communities, and individuals facing barriers to accessing the arts, helping ensure creativity remains open and inclusive.
As an independent theatre, Leeds Playhouse relies on the support of partners, grants, bursaries and donations to deliver its programme of world-class, pioneering work alongside its community activity. We are proud to play a role in sustaining an organisation that strengthens communities through storytelling, participation and shared cultural experience.
