Our Manchester office began a new partnership with Embassy Village, a pioneering homelessness initiative delivering 40 high‑quality homes beneath 20 railway arches in Castlefield, Manchester.

Led by the Embassy charity, the project is focused on breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing long‑term accommodation alongside tailored support for residents as they rebuild confidence, skills and pathways back into work. Built along the Bridgewater Canal, the village has been designed to foster dignity and belonging, with well‑equipped homes, communal gardens, sports facilities and a shared village hall that supports community connection and life‑skills development.

We supported the delivery of the village through funding for site signage, including the main entrance, village hall, archways and front doors. Our contribution played a role in helping shape a coherent, welcoming environment when the village opened in February, reinforcing a sense of place and identity for residents. Following the opening of the Village, we also donated £500 to help fund family meals and Easter eggs for those settling into their new homes.

Thank you to Gateley for their generosity in supporting Embassy Village. We’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with a plethora of brilliant companies to get the project to this stage and it is fantastic to have another business with strong Manchester links supporting us. Their support will play a big part in helping people to rebuild their lives at a time when they are at their most vulnerable and ultimately reintegrate in society and break the homelessness cycle.
Sid Williams, Co-founder and Director, Embassy Village

Alongside direct support, we also helped raise awareness of Embassy Village by speaking with Sid on an episode of the Purpose Pod, sharing the story of this purpose built community and the collaborative effort behind it.

Through this partnership, we played a meaningful role within a wider network of organisations working to address homelessness in a sustainable, human centred way, supporting not just the creation of homes, but the conditions that help people rebuild their lives
