To mark Movember Men’s Health Month this year, our colleagues at Gateley RJA grew moustaches in support of this important cause. Beyond the fun of sporting new facial hair, the movement is about something much deeper, starting conversations that can save lives.
Bob Edwards, senior chartered quantity surveyor, knows firsthand why these conversations matter. He said: “Earlier this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had it removed in June at Northampton General Hospital. This was a successful operation, and I received the all-clear in August. Apart from a few minor daily inconveniences I have recovered well, however, I will need quarterly blood tests to check that my PSA level is staying low for the next two years.”
Collectively, our colleagues raised more than £1,900 for men’s health and smashed their target of £500.
