Our Manchester corporate finance team is celebrating the win of Deal of the Year (£50m+) at this year’s North West Dealmakers.

The winning deal was Palatine Private Equity’s exit of NRG Riverside to Astatine Investment Partners, with Gateley Legal advising Palatine and the management team on the successful exit. Our team consisted of corporate partners Rebecca Grisewood and Kate Richards, corporate associate Adam Noble, tax partner Richard Clitherow and banking partner Christopher Lister.

The deal was a strong transaction that has retained a positive impact on the North West regionally through the creation of 270 jobs and demonstrates how private equity can be used to successfully scale businesses.

The team was also shortlisted for Deal of the Year (sub £10m) for its work advising on The Bury Black Pudding Company’s acquisition by Panicium.

Partner Rebecca Grisewood said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our role as legal advisors on this transaction and securing a win in the largest deal category. The win reaffirms our Manchester team’s strong track record advising on private equity matters and commitment to supporting regional growth. A huge congratulations to the team.”
