We have bolstered our national construction offering with the strategic appointments of Caroline Pope and Bob Maynard.

Caroline joins from Addleshaw Goddard, bringing 41 years’ experience in resolving complex and technical disputes for major projects within the engineering, construction, energy and infrastructure sectors. As well as practicing in the UK, she also brings extensive international experience which includes advising clients in the Middle East.

In her role as a consultant within our construction team, Caroline will play a key part in driving continued national and international growth, including the development of a London-based team. She will also strengthen the team’s alternative dispute resolution offering and is a Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) accredited mediator.

Caroline’s appointment is followed by Bob, who also joins Gateley Legal as a consultant from Addleshaw Goddard. Bob has more than 35 years of experience advising clients on construction dispute resolution and forensic investigation work, including vast international arbitration work.

As well as bringing extensive experience to our construction team in the UK and supporting colleagues in Dubai, Caroline and Bob will work closely with the international arbitration specialists and technical construction consultancy experts within the wider Group.

Emlyn Hudson, partner and national head of construction at Gateley Legal, said: “It’s brilliant to have Caroline and Bob onboard with us. Having worked closely together in the industry for a number of years, they have built an impressive reputation as a formidable duo. Both of them bring key strategic expertise which will strengthen the breadth and depth of our UK and international offering, as well as enhancing our services for contractors which includes advocating the benefits of early alternative dispute resolution methods.”
