We have renewed our partnership with the iconic Salford arts and cultural venue Lowry after our two organisations celebrated special milestones this year.
Earlier this year, we celebrated our 15-year anniversary in the city, whilst Lowry marked its 25th birthday during the first year of the partnership.
As part of the renewal, Gateley will support Lowry’s flagship Socially Engaged Arts Programme which supports young people who are facing some of the most challenging barriers, including cared-for young people, young carers, youth at risk of homelessness and underserved families and communities in Salford.
Our support last year gave Salford schoolchildren the chance to experience live theatre – many for the very first time. The children attended a performance of Mischief Theatre: Christmas Carol Goes Wrong to inspire and spark ideas ahead of submitting their entries into Lowry’s Creative Writing Challenge.
Joint heads of Gateley’s Manchester office, Hayley Sullivan and Stuart Evans, said: “We are very pleased to be renewing our support of Lowry after a fantastic first year together. This partnership is built on the shared values of community impact, nurturing young talent and local pride, so we are proud we are able to play our part in facilitating world-class art being available to everyone.”
