Our commercial dispute resolution team in Manchester recently rolled up their sleeves and dedicated a day to volunteering at Heaton Park, supporting a vital re-wilding initiative in one of the city’s most cherished green spaces.

Working side-by-side, the team tackled the removal of invasive plant species such as rhododendrons and Himalayan balsam, an essential step in restoring the natural balance of the woodland ecosystem. By clearing these non-native plants, they helped native flora and fauna to thrive once again. The team then carefully arranged the cuttings into habitat piles, thoughtfully creating new shelters and nesting sites for invertebrates, small mammals, and birds.

Our team successfully played a part in preserving Heaton Park as a thriving, biodiverse sanctuary, ensuring it continues to be a vital space for both wildlife and the local community for generations to come.
