Expertise

James has over four years experience’ working in the construction industry. He has worked on a variety of construction projects from domestic to commercial properties, both for insurance and private clients. Performing design calculations and drawings for both substructures and superstructures, ranging from individual elements to whole structures depending on the brief. James is able to provide designs in a range of materials including timber, steel and concrete.

James also has experience managing a small team as well as acting as contracts manager for smaller scale projects.

Experience

1. Advising clients on the most appropriate design options for their proposal.
2. Providing recommendations to ensure a property is made safe following severe impact damage. As well as instructing contractors to perform the make safe works.
3. Managing of investigation works for subsidence work involving gaining a correct ground investigation and instructing monitoring as well as providing analysis on the data found to provide an adequate resolution.
4. Reassured clients on several occasions following an insured peril to help prevent any further panic. Notifying them of the next steps to the project.
5. Provided designs and amendments to designs following changes in specification from clients and shown the ability to solve issues in the design caused by such changes.
