Jonathan acts predominantly for developers in their negotiations with contractors and consultants as well as landowners, purchasers and tenants. He has previously worked extensively in Gateley’s investment and development finance teams and works with clients to address the varying objectives that drive different stakeholders on development projects.

Experience

  1. Acting for developers on multiple industrial sites, including premises pre-let to tenants and funded projects. This involved managing negotiations and delivering the full suite of construction documentation, including warranties to multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that the underlying appointment documentation allowed the client to fulfil its commitment to third parties in agreements for lease and loan agreements.
  2. Acting on several deals for a Combined Authority lending on development and brownfield regeneration projects via its development capital outfit, advising the client on the impact of negotiations and delivering warranties for their benefit. Jonathan worked closely with both solicitors and in-house counsel for the parties involved to produce an outcome that satisfied both the client, its borrower and the Combined Authority.
