We are thrilled to be celebrating a double win at the Insider Midlands Young Professionals Awards 2025.
Organised by regional business publication, Insider Media, the annual event saw the region come together at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham to recognise the rising stars and talented individuals aged 35 or under and their outstanding contributions within their respective sectors over the past year.
Apprentice building surveyor, Chloe Smith, took home the accolade of ‘Young Apprentice of the Year’ with judges stating: “‘An outstanding performance for a first-year apprentice’ was the unanimous view of the judges. Aged just 20, Chloe is billing at rates you’d normally expect from a graduate surveyor. Truly a rising star.”
Chartered engineer, Kirsten Baggaley, was awarded the title of ‘Young Property Professional of the Year’. On her win, judges said: “Kirsten is an exceptional all-rounder, with strong leadership skills, a consistent ability to smash targets and an eagerness to mentor others. Her track record of generating revenue almost a third higher than her colleagues and her great relationship with key clients makes her a deserved winner.”
Andrew Bussey, managing director at Gateley Smithers Purslow, said: “We are elated to see Chloe and Kirsten recognised for their brilliant contributions to their teams, as well as our clients. They are both excelling within their respective roles and we’re all really proud of them.
“It’s also fantastic to see both junior and experienced colleagues at Gateley Smithers Purslow championed within the same awards programme. We really pride ourselves on developing the next generation of built environment talent and providing rewarding long-term careers and these wins truly reflect that.”
