How do you help clients?
My main task is to ensure our appointments are fulfilled. We review the scope of works detailed in our appointment and ensure all aspects are covered. I also look at ways to try to improve the service with our clients. This is done by regularly reviewing our processes and having conversations about possible improvements and/ or adaptions.
Experience
- Working on an array of sites, including new build housing/ apartments, refurbishment of commercial buildings and housing, retail, football stadia, film and TV studio conversions and refurbishments, airside in airports, education/ schools and sensitive Ministry of Defence installations.
- Working on both client-side and developer-side to give an overall view of needs and requirements.
- Turned around a high spec (Apple) retail fit-out, that was three weeks behind programme, to deliver two days early.
- Liaising with several conservation groups to provide habitats on developments for existing and new wildlife.
- Liaising with a developer who refused to agree that four plots for our client should be part M compliant. The site team refused to acknowledge that adaptions were needed along with the technical team. I went to the local authority and went through the planning documents and found they had submitted a “revised” Part M compliant drawing for these plots. So, to fulfil planning requirements they had to adapt these plots.
- Challenged handrails to a whole site that I felt did not comply with building regulations. The site team stated they had CML by the NHBC so they complied. Jason liaised with the local authority and agreed the handrails did not comply and all had to be replaced.
