How do you help clients?

I help clients to improve the places where they live and work with a broad range of engineering services, on all types of structures, from, for example, advice on cracking in a house for a homeowner to appraisal and modification for repurposing of complex building structures for government departments.

I use my skills, experience and technical knowledge to accurately diagnose structural defects and to design safe, sustainable and cost-effective repair, remediation or re-development schemes.

Experience

  1. Undertaking structural inspections, defect diagnosis and development of repair strategies for domestic and commercial insurance claims.
  2. Delivery of structural condition inspection programmes, reactive defect diagnosis and remediation advice for a wide range of facilities and clients including appraisal of non-traditional housing stock for housing associations, structural safety for installations at theme parks and leisure parks and assessments of critical structures to resist ‘extreme’ climate events.
  3. Providing structural design and detailing services incorporating sympathetic structural interventions to transform a 150-year-old Grade II listed shipping warehouse in central Manchester into a contemporary office space for a commercial client.
  4. Advising on a programme of condition inspections and strengthening works for buildings containing RAAC (reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete) panels for a facilities management company.
