Tom works on a range of occupational pension schemes to which Entrust Pension Limited has been appointed trustee.
Tom works closely with sponsoring employers to provide trustee services and ensure their defined benefit pension schemes are supported throughout their lifespan.
With a background in pension administration, Tom had a focus on member experience and member outcomes. His day-to-day role includes providing the necessary assistance to the Trustee Directors to ensure high standards of scheme governance, ongoing risk management and risk mitigation and liaison with all key stakeholders including scheme sponsors and service providers.
How do you help clients?
I help employers manage their legacy defined benefit pension arrangements, reducing the management time spent on pensions and allowing them the time to focus on running their business.
I ensure that pension schemes are governed to the highest standard and all regulatory requirements are met.
Experience
- Managing a bulk transfer-in project and a bulk leavers project for a large company, which involved advising on disclosure regulations, review of scheme documentation and ensuring the project was delivered on time and on budget.
- Assisting sponsoring employees on buy-in, buy-out, and wind-up exercises at each stage of the process.
- Maintaining governance and compliance logs and advising on the correct trustee/ employee action where necessary.
- Providing day-to-day support to sponsoring employers on the management and governance of their occupational pension schemes, including on wider projects such as pension dashboards connection and GMP equalisation.
- Reviewing documentation and process regarding data rectification exercises.
