Manchester-based firm, Sorted, has developed a delivery management platform which allows both physical and digital retailers to effectively manage their delivery and returns proposition.

Sorted is one of the UK’s fastest growing tech companies, with its software now live in 12 countries, including the US, France and Germany.

Gateley Partner Paul Jefferson said:

“We have advised Sorted for several years and through various funding rounds as they continue to grow and develop their business. We pride ourselves in working in partnership with our clients, providing pragmatic advice and getting deals done. It is always a pleasure working with the Sorted team. We wish them every success and look forward to working alongside them as they maintain their very impressive trajectory.”

Gateley has now also advised Praetura Ventures, one of Sorted’s investors, on a number of its investments since acting on the formation and structuring of their inaugural EIS fund earlier this year.

Fund structuring advice forms one part of Gateley’s Private Equity practice, which is headed by Manchester Partner, Paul Jefferson. It is a skill set not common place outside London, but one which Gateley has developed in the regions, with clients of the Manchester team including Seneca Partners, Praetura Ventures and Infinity Asset Management, for each of whom Gateley have advised on both fund constitution and on subsequent investment work.

Funds work sits alongside the mainstay of ‘downstream’ private equity investment work, for which Gateley is renowned - the firm is prolific in closing private equity transactions, advising on more private equity deals than any other legal adviser in 2018 and continuing that trend through 2019.
