Beth Mather, partner and national head of corporate at Gateley Legal, has been named in The Lawyer Hot 100, following a year defined by the scale, complexity and breadth of her deal work.

Throughout 2025, Beth led or supported a significant volume of high-profile private equity and M&A transactions, reinforcing her position as one of Gateley’s leading dealmakers. Her work included leading Gateley’s advice to Palatine Private Equity on its investment in Atombit Group, alongside a number of international bolt-on acquisitions.

Beth also fronted the corporate team advising the shareholders of Aquavista on its sale to Antin Infrastructure Partners, a notable infrastructure-backed exit. In addition, she played a key role advising on BGF’s investment in Utelize Communications and the disposal of Sunrise Group to PE-backed Agrova International, achievements which led to her being named Corporate Lawyer of the Year at the Dealmakers Awards 2025.

A specialist in private equity-led M&A, buy-outs and disposals, often involving international elements, Beth combines national leadership of Gateley’s corporate practice with a hands-on role on the company’s most significant mandates.

Commenting on the recognition, Beth said: “Being included in The Lawyer Hot 100 is a real honour, particularly alongside so many respected figures in the profession. Having developed my career at Gateley from trainee to national head of corporate, this recognition is especially meaningful. It reflects the quality of our clients and the exceptional colleagues I work with, whose commitment, insight and judgement are central to what we deliver.”

Beth joined us as a trainee, was promoted to partner in 2019 and appointed national head of corporate in 2022.

Charles Glaskie, partner and head of Gateley’s corporate Platform, commented: “Beth’s inclusion in The Lawyer Hot 100 is thoroughly deserved. Recognising not only her individual authority in the market, but also her continued contribution to Gateley’s strategic growth and client success.”
