Bob is a conscientious and professional chartered quantity surveyor, experienced in the construction industry since 1981.

Bob supports clients by advising on costs associated with insurance claims; and the cost and contract management of capital projects which include the construction of a new substantial private dwelling; and the extension, alteration and refurbishment of a listed building for a local charity.

Prior to joining Gateley RJA, Bob worked in various roles on a range of projects across the country, advising on the fund monitoring of significant developments throughout the country, pre- and post-contract cost management of park restoration projects in connection with the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) across the UK, and pre- and post-contract cost management of public realm schemes.

How do you help clients?

I have carried out post-contract cost management, including preparing monthly valuations and producing monthly cost reports on a substantial Georgian style house for a private client.

I have carried out pre- and post-contract cost management on the extension, alteration and refurbishment of a listed building for a charity, including producing tender documents, managing the tender process, adjusting the tender sum to agree a contract sum, producing contract documents, monthly valuations and cost reports, agreeing the final account.

I have carried out fund monitoring including due diligence and certifying monthly payments from the funder to the developer, plus reporting on other issues that may be considered a risk to the funder.

I have carried out pre- and post-contract cost management on funded park restoration and public realm schemes across the country.
