Kate advises on a range of UK corporate mergers and acquisitions transaction work, including acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, investments, shareholders’ agreement, reorganisations and general corporate governance matters.

She has over 10 years of corporate transactional experience, acting for a wide variety of clients including start-ups, owner managed businesses and investors across a range of sectors. 

How do you help clients? 

I help and advise clients on their legal work, particularly on transactions including all stages of the deal life cycle from due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation through to post-completion integration. I enjoy guiding clients efficiently and effectively through the deal process, helping them to realise their goals.

  1. Acting for the shareholders of Sano Physiotherapy on the sale of the group to and investment by Bestport Private Equity.
  2. Acting for the shareholders of Excalon Limited, a utilities contractor to Renew Holdings PLC, a listed market leader in infrastructure maintenance.
  3. Acting for the shareholders of Equinox, a Leeds-based provider of IP management software to Questel, a French-based international legal technology company. 
  4. Acted on the acquisition of a special purpose vehicle which owned the lease to a leading hotel in the North West, including arranging a buy-side W&I insurance policy. 
  5. Acting for Sheffield-based Pneumatic Components Limited, a portfolio company of German SME investment specialist INDUS Holding, on the acquisition of Colson X-Cel.
  6. Acting for the shareholders of Advanced Coupling Limited on the sale of the company to Ideal Tridon Group, backed by US private equity firm TruArc Partners.
  7. Acting for New York-listed global software engineering firm DataArt on its acquisition of leading UK and Romania-based software development agency Lola Tech.
  8. Acted for management on the management buy-out of a lighting manufacturer in West Yorkshire.
