Nikhil is a quantity surveyor within our built environment team, delivering comprehensive pre- and post-contract cost management across a diverse range of projects. He is responsible for preparing cost estimates, leading tender evaluations, administering contracts, managing variations and contractor payment. Nikhil also produces detailed monthly cost reports, ensuring robust financial control through to final account.
With experience across higher education, residential, refurbishment and design and build schemes, Nikhil brings a practical and commercially-focused approach to supporting clients in achieving value and cost certainty.
Alongside his professional role, Nikhil is currently working towards becoming Chartered with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Experience
- University of Manchester: Delivered full cost management of the refurbishment of two student accommodation blocks, including full strip-out, M&E upgrades and new-build extensions. Worked with two concurrently appointed main contractors to mitigate risk and avoid delays of a single contractor completing the scheme. Key responsibilities included administering separate contracts, managing cost control across several variations, assessing interim valuations, and delivering accurate cost reporting to the client.
- University of Manchester: Led and delivered a multi-phase BMS upgrade programme across 20+ academic, residential and high-profile cultural asset buildings for the University of Manchester, acting as quantity surveyor and project manager. Upgraded ageing legacy systems to enhance energy efficiency, cybersecurity and overall system resilience to mitigate operational risk and business disruption.
- Lancaster University: Provided quantity surveying and contract administration services from tender through to final account for the refurbishment of seven, four-storey student residence blocks. Managed the tender process, financial control and cost reporting. Successfully delivered the project within budget and under a tight programme, whilst maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Manchester Metropolitan University: Acted as employer’s agent and quantity surveyor for a bar and café, design and build refurbishment project within the University’s Student Union. Managed procurement, budget control, and contract administration while acting as the client’s representative – leading stakeholder engagement, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring compliance with the employer’s requirements.
- Wigan & Leigh College: Provided employer’s agent and quantity surveying services for the reconfiguration of an existing motor vehicle workshop to create modern teaching facilities, to support both traditional automotive and electric vehicle training. Responsibilities included cost planning, programme monitoring and change control management.
