Expertise
Richard is a highly experienced clerk of works, with experience in construction since 1993, both in the UK and overseas. He has worked on various projects including mixed social housing developments, schools and high-rise flats, initially as a site manager with large PLC construction firms and since 2013 as quality manager and inspector in social and private housing.
Richard has excellent communication skills with management and site-based teams and promotes quality through inspection.
How do you help clients?
I help clients through weekly inspections and ensuring works are carried out to approved drawings and specification, providing good photographic evidence of site progress in weekly reports and highlighting any discrepancies or delays to the programme.
I help clients by having a good understanding of health and safety, gained from running large construction sites.
Experience
- Providing technical expertise on all stages of build progress on various developments as clerk of works.
- Experience of high-rise concrete and steel structures.
- Trained as a carpenter, with good knowledge of internal fit-out.
