Experience

  1. Advised a specialised industrial services provider in relation to the performance of an Outsourcing Agreement. The company’s customer, a major household name, refused to pay the company’s invoices, creating a c.£500,000 per month liability and made serious allegations involving fraud and theft. Through the effective use of pre-action negotiations and investigations, and issuing a contractual notice to terminate and a High Court claim for over £5 million, Safeea achieved a successful and comprehensive settlement of the dispute and contract, as well as payment of her client’s invoices.
  2. Instructed by an insurance provider involved in a dispute with a software developer concerning a £6m contract for the supply of a major new IT system, which was critical to the supply of the client’s services. The developer caused major delays and failed to deliver. Applying the right strategy Safeea helped her client to achieve a termination of a one-sided and difficult contract, and avoid a large claim from the supplier.
  3. Achieved a successful outcome for a major bank, defending a claim involving allegations of fraud, breach of contract, misrepresentation and unfair relationships arising from foreign exchange swap services.
  4. Successfully acted on behalf of a major Plc landowner and property developer in a claim against it by a foreign company seeking recognition and enforcement in England of a €3m judgment obtained in foreign proceedings.
  5. Successfully achieved a settlement on favourable terms for an automotive engineering company engaged in a multi-million pound and cross border dispute with a well-known premium car manufacturer.
