We have signed a 12-month sponsorship agreement with junior tennis player Anton Matusevich.
Hailed as one of the biggest emerging talents in the future of the men’s game, the 18-year-old picked up his first Grand Slam victory in 2018 by winning the US Open Boys Doubles title with Bulgarian Adrian Andrrev. He also reached the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon Boys singles tournament last year.
The partnership will see Matusevich, who gained professional ranking aged just 16, make a number of appearances in support of Gateley's marketing activities in addition to delivering exclusive hospitality benefits and communication rights.
Anton is represented by Octagon, the agency who helped develop the careers of the Murray brothers as well over 50 other Grand Slam champions including Steffi Graf, Michael Chang and Martina Hingis.
Vikki Whittemore, group marketing director for Gateley, said: "We are pleased to announce this partnership and invest in the future of tennis. Anton has the ambition, work ethic and desire to succeed; values that align perfectly with our own business.
“At Gateley we collectively champion emerging talent and I know everyone within the business will be rooting for Anton.”
Anton commented: “I’m looking forward to partnering with such a forward-thinking organisation as I look to climb the ATP Rankings. To have the support of Gateley, both on and off the court, is really exciting as my career goes from strength to strength.”
