In addition, nine have been promoted to legal director. Michael Ward, Chief Executive of Gateley Group, commented: “Incentivising our people and attracting new talent is a key part of our strategy and our success to date and I am delighted to announce so many promotions at the end of what has been another incredibly busy year. This is our largest round of promotions since we floated in 2015, every individual has contributed to the growth of the business and their promotions are very much deserved.”
The promotions mark the end of a busy financial year for Gateley, most recently with the acquisition of Guildford-based land and property law firm, GCL solicitors. The acquisition further strengthens the firm’s position in the sector nationally and creates a substantial presence for Gateley’s Residential Development team in the southern market. The acquisition follows the recent expansion of the Residential Development team in Manchester with the appointment of legal director Louise Ilhan and the East Midlands with the appointment of partner Steven Plummer. The firm also introduced a new service line, Global Mobility, with the appointment of director Steve Asher, which encompasses the management of employees on international assignments, covering a mix of employment law, immigration advice, international HR, tax and social security planning, and talent management.
