He works with a diverse client base, including corporates and international entities, providing strategic guidance in contentious situations. 

Kasey has authored articles on developments in the UK courts relating to international arbitration and on the intersection of sports and competition law, reflecting his interest in emerging trends within these sectors.

Before joining Gateley, Kasey co-founded a successful consultancy advising high-profile professional athletes on sponsorship and marketing opportunities with leading cryptocurrency exchanges. The consultancy later evolved to curate digital collectible projects for athletes and became one of ten key sports partners of Crypto.com, alongside global brands such as Aston Martin F1, UFC, Paris Saint-Germain, and Serie A.

Kasey also gained experience at an AI start-up, where he focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to automate legal processes for early-stage technology companies.

Experience

  1. Acted for the employees of a holiday resorts provider in a contractual and confidentiality dispute which resulted in a settlement.
  2. Advised a telecommunications company in an LCIA arbitration and a subsequent CEDR mediation concerning a disputed contractual price increase mechanism.
  3. Advising on the jurisdictional issues and merits regarding an investor-state arbitration with a view to obtaining third party funding.
  4. Advising the liquidators of insolvent UK companies.
  5. Assisting professional athletes in both sporting and commercial contract negotiations. 
  6. Assisting a global sports agency in its corporate restructure and the onboarding of new stakeholders.
