Laura has been working in construction industry since 2016. She has worked on a variety of project, including domestic, commercial and industrial across both private and public sectors. She has experience working on insurance claims caused by impact damage, subsidence, fire, flooding and storm damage providing engineering advice and/ or project and contract management services. Laura’s experience ranges from performing calculations and drawings for individual design elements to whole structures, depending on the nature of the project.

Experience

1. Advising clients and insurers on the most suitable design or repair scheme for each individual project.
2. Liaising with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and other third-party specialists to successfully reinstate properties after an insured peril.
3. Arranging and overseeing investigatory works for subsidence work including ground investigation and subsidence level and crack monitoring as well as analysing the data found to provide an adequate solution for remedial and repair works.
4. Designing temporary works to support disturbed structural elements and inspecting installed works on site.
5. Carrying out urgent and routine site visits and providing detailed findings in a report format after.
