Naba is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales at Gateley Middle East. She completed her LLB degree from Middlesex University, London and her Legal Practice Course with LLM from University of Law, Manchester. Naba joined Gateley as a paralegal and has completed her qualification training with the team.
Naba assists the team with high-profile employment law matters and has experience assisting clients in multiple sectors including F&B, capital investments, luxury retail, logistics, and oil & gas.
How do you help clients?
In my current role, I have supported my team and clients on high-profile DIFC court litigations involving first-of-their-kind discrimination cases, collaborating with barristers and counsel to draft pleadings, prepare witness statements, and contribute to case strategy. I enjoy assisting clients on a broad range of employment matters, from drafting HR policies and employment contracts to providing tailored advice on UAE, DIFC, and ADGM employment law. I have extensive experience working with multinational organisations, addressing diverse employment challenges such as group terminations, workplace investigations, and designing employee workplace savings schemes.
I have also assisted clients in strategic insights through multi-jurisdictional research, particularly on agile working policies across the Middle East. I also contribute thought leadership by authoring articles and case law reviews for platforms such as the Gateley website and Lexis Nexis Middle East HR Magazine. Additionally, I have had the privilege of contributing to the second edition of DIFC and UAE Employment Law – A Comparative Approach, published by Lexis Nexis Middle East.

- Drafting HR policies, employment and service contracts, advising on various areas of UAE, DIFC and ADGM employment law.
- Assisted with workplace investigations for multiple clients on bullying and harassment, misconduct in the workplace, performance management, breach of policies and procedures and discrimination.
- Advising multi-national organisations on various employment related enquiries ranging from group termination of employment, post-termination restrictions, workplace investigations and drafting employee workplace savings schemes.
- Assisted with training on all employment matters including workplace bullying and harassment and discrimination, unconscious bias, gender and equal pay, and the UAE and DIFC employment law. Naba has delivered training session on bullying and harassment in Urdu/ Hindi for a company’s administrative staff and received glowing feedback from the attendees.
- Prepared articles and case law reviews for the Gateley website and clientele as well as other legal publications.
