Sam works in the process of researching and identifying people or organisations that have a legal interest in land or property. This information will then be used in the process to create legal documentation for a Development Consent Order, a Compulsory Purchase Order, Vesting order or Hybrid Bill. 

Sam is currently, and has previously, worked on projects such as Heathrow’s Third Runway Expansion, Aquind Interconnector, M54 to M6 Link Road and various infrastructure projects on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council. Through consultation attendance, in-house communications and contact site, Sam has developed adept engagement skills with both clients and stakeholders. 

Experience

1. Previous Site Reference Lead for Heathrow Third Runway Expansion, currently the largest DCO in the United Kingdom.
2. Well-developed knowledge on a wide range of development types including: Development Consent Orders (DCOs), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), Vesting Orders and Hybrid Bills.
3. Attended public consultation events, engaging with members of the public about proposed schemes, compensation and questions that they might have.
4. In-depth understanding and ability to interpret Her Majesty's Land Registry Title Plans and Registers, including the understanding of Restrictive Covenants, Rights and Easements.
