Advising Palatine on its acquisition of The MOLE Clinic

Insight shared by:

Gateley Legal

We have advised Palatine Private Equity on the acquisition of a majority shareholding in healthcare business specialising in skin cancer screening, The MOLE Clinic, from the Hebe Group.

The transaction, which is the fifth from its Impact Fund II, also includes the nationwide cosmetic skin clinic specialist Sk:n Clinics. Iain Mack, who will remain as CEO as part of Palatine’s Impact Fund, has also invested in the business.

Since its establishment in 2003, The MOLE Clinic has offered private skin cancer screening tests to patients worried about new or changing moles or skin lesions. The acquisition will see Palatine drive a significant expansion project for the business to increase the number of clinics from four to ten over the next three years.

Gateley Legal’s team comprised of partners Kate Richards, Dan French, Rick Sealy, and associate Adam Noble

Kate Richards, commented: “We are delighted to have advised Palatine Private Equity on the acquisition of its majority shareholding in The MOLE Clinic. Having worked closely with Palatine for a number of years, it is fantastic to see another business benefit from its Impact Fund and to see the MOLE Clinic expand the reach of its lifesaving services.”
